About First Impression Marketing
Alison Robinson is a business graduate with a management accounting qualification (CIMA) who worked in IT designing and implementing systems and databases for blue chip companies and software houses until the birth of her first child.
While her children were growing up, she ran a toddler group, acted as Treasurer for a preschool and was Secretary and Assistant Director of a ladies barbershop chorus. She also trained in homeopathic medicine and is a Registered Homeopath in practise at clinics in Wokingham, Reading, Pangbourne and Basingstoke (visit www.alisonrobinson.co.uk). She promotes and sells Wikaniko ecological friendly household products in the Wokingham area. She is a fan of networking and is an ex-Chapter Director of Wokingham BNI. It seems whatever group she joins she often ends up helping to run it!
While promoting her homeopathic practice she has:
- attended all kinds of networking events including BNI, Athena, Business Biscotti and LadieswhoLatte.
- built her own websites
- set up an email newsletter
- maintains her online social media profiles on Linkedin Facebook and twitter
- designs her own flyers, forms and marketing materials using affordable online resources and Microsoft products.
She sets up and administers these services for her First Impression Marketing clients to help them get off to an affordable flying start. When they are ready to move onto the next stage she can assist them with getting the best professionals from her networking contacts to help them further.
Her inspiration? While promoting her homeopathic practice at a ladies shopping event she gave impromptu feedback and advice to some of the new businesses attending. This was appreciated by the owners, sparking her idea to set up a help and support service for new or small businesses . Her aim is to speed them through the steep marketing and selling learning curve and inform and assist them with the affordable and effective solutions available.
